In a move to enhance its leadership team and bolster its position in the market, leading renewable heating manufacturer NIBE has promoted longstanding employee Robin Adderley to the role of sales and marketing director.
With a total of 20 years’ experience in the heating and plumbing industry – including almost seven years at NIBE – Robin first joined the company in 2009 as a technical sales engineer, before taking on the role of national sales manager three years ago. As sales and marketing director, he will head up the company’s eight-strong technical sales team, which spans the length and breadth of the UK. Robin’s new role will also see him developing and executing a high-impact sales and marketing strategy. This will focus on building and maintaining NIBE’s position as a key industry player, and driving sales across its market-leading portfolio of air source, ground source and exhaust air heat pumps, biomass boilers and solar thermal collectors.
Robin says: “During my seven years at NIBE, I have seen the company go fromstrength to strength, and I’ve been lucky enough to grow with it. Not only is demand for sustainable, cost-effective heating solutions continuing to soar, but NIBE is also celebrating its tenth year in the UK in 2016 – so it’s a very exciting time, both for the industry as a whole and the business itself. In my new role, I’m looking forward to playing an even bigger part in securing NIBE’s ongoing success as a leading manufacturer in a growing market. Spreading the word about the long-term benefits of renewables and providing first-rate customer support and technical expertise are all integral to this – and I am committed to working closely with our exceptional marketing and sales teams to achieve just that.”
NIBE managing director Phil Hurley adds: “I am a firm believer in nurturing talentfrom within the company, so it is really positive to see someone who has been with NIBE for such a long time flourish in this way. Robin’s knowledge and passion for the industry – matched with his strong background in sales and marketing, and the fact that he knows the NIBE business inside out – means there couldn’t be a better person for this role. At the start of an optimistic year for renewable heat and for NIBE, we look forward to seeing him lead the sales and marketing teams to even further success in 2016.”
