NIBE F2050 Launch

NIBE’s F2040 Air Source Heat Pump gets an upgrade as the F2050 is announced

Our best-selling compact Air Source Heat Pump, the F2040, is getting an upgrade as we announce the F2050.

F2050

Here at NIBE, we wanted to focus on what our customers love about our heat pumps. That’s why we’re making our best-selling Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) even better. Using the same pioneering NIBE technology, we’re introducing the new and improved F2050.

Maintaining the compact and sleek design of its predecessor, the F2050 ASHP excels even further. To minimise its Global Warming Potential, the F2050 is built with the R32 climate-friendly refrigerant. It is also extremely efficient, achieving Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) levels of up to 4.87.

Running at extremely high efficiencies even in the harshest of climates, you can rest assured that a heating system using the F2050 will deliver industry leading energy savings down to temperatures as low as -20°C. This is all done under an even quieter operation, with a nominal sound power as low as 53dB(A), despite its small installation footprint! What’s more, as with all NIBE products, the F2050 has been designed with sustainability at its heart, as is demonstrated in its A+++ energy rating.

The F2050 will be available in two output sizes; F2050-6 and F2050-10 and with the F2040-12 and the F2040-16 sizes still on the market, there is a NIBE heat pump suitable for everyone.

Units come supplied with a filter ball valve, flexible hoses and a factory fitted floor mounting stand with an integrated condensate tray. The F2050 can also be wall mounted with BAU30 brackets, providing customers with additional flexibility.

Recognising the importance of smaller heat pumps, the F2050 has been developed to be installed under current permitted development planning regulations. The heat pump also meets minimum electrical standards for a ‘connect & notify’ status on the ENA database of heat pump systems, removing the requirement to contact District Network Operators prior to installation, making it easier and quicker to install. What’s more, as the F2050 is MCS certified and listed on the SAP Characteristics Database, any installation using this heat pump will be eligible for funding and complies with the latest building standards.

As with its predecessor, this new addition to our product range is also designed to play a part in the connected home. The F2050 is compatible with NIBE’s S-series modules such as the VVM S320 indoor module or SMO S40 control module, allowing you to manage your energy consumption as it automatically adjusts to the indoor climate.

That’s not all, the system can connect to NIBE’s range of smart accessories, ranging from wireless controls, through to smart radiator valves. With an S-series heating system homeowners can create a highly efficient climate system, as well as controlling the heat pump wherever they are through the myUplink app. Installers can benefit from accessing the system via the myUplink PRO app, which enables remote diagnostics and fault finding, saving time on call outs.

This new high performing addition to our product range is suitable for retrofit and new installations. We’re confident in saying that the F2050 really will deliver high-end specs at affordable prices.
