The NIBE S1256 Ground Source Heat Pump is designed to make everyday living quietly comfortable and reliably efficient. Quiet Mark certification means it runs with minimal noise, so it won’t disturb day-to-day life. With an A+++ energy rating and the naturally steady temperature of the ground, it delivers consistent warmth across the seasons, with efficiency levels up to six times that of a gas boiler.
Fitting the S1256 is straightforward and flexible. It’s available in two outputs so your installer can choose the right size for your home, and its built-in inverter technology automatically adjusts how hard it works to match your heating needs, gently increasing or decreasing output to maximise comfort. A 180-litre hot water cylinder is built into the heat pump, which is ideal for properties where less hot water is required or there is limited space for a cylinder. If you’d like summer comfort too, variants with built-in passive cooling can take the edge off warmer days, providing heating in winter and gentle cooling in summer.
The S1256 is compatible with the myUplink app, so you can check in and adjust settings from your phone or tablet whenever you like. Choose a NIBE Pro installer and you’ll get an extended warranty for extra peace of mind. Additionally, the S1256 is eligible for FlexiServ; servicing carried out by NIBE’s own engineers to keep everything running smoothly.
The system also plays well with others: it can integrate with NIBE ventilation accessories, solar inverters, pools, or an additional heat source to create a complete home solution. And because it’s eligible for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant, you can reduce upfront costs as you move to low-carbon heating.

Wireless touchscreen controller
An exhaust air module that recovers heat from indoor ventilation air and transfers it to the brine circuit, boosting the efficiency of the connected ground source heat pump. It also provides mechanical ventilation, improving indoor air quality while helping reduce the size of the ground collector needed.Compatible with S-Series heat pumps.

The AXC 40 is an accessory card paired with NIBE domestic Ground Source Heat Pumps such as the SXX56 range, used to control and communicate with additional systems, such as extra climate systems, shunt-controlled additional heat, step-controlled additional heat, passive cooling, active cooling, etc.

Wireless room thermostat
Filling and flushing kit used during the installation or maintenance of a ground source heat pump system. Allows filling or topping up of the brine circuit. For heat pumps up to 13kW.
Extra heating circuit (maximum 80-250 m2 floor heating). ECS 41 is used when heat pump is installed in houses with up to four different climate systems that require different flow line temperatures, for example, in cases where the house has both a radiator system and an under floor heating system.
This wireless sensor allows you to read the temperature and humidity in a room or climate zone using the myUplink app. On the heat pump you can see the current room temperature or change it in °C. THS 10 replaces the fixed indoor sensor. Because it is battery powered, it is easy to install. Mount the sensor in your room and connect it to your NIBE S-Series heating installation.
Communication module that translates Modbus RTU, from a solar inverter, to Modbus TCP/IP, for the heat pump to control the solar inverter
A relay box accessory that acts as an interface between the heat pump and external devices, e.g. immersion heaters, cooling modules, external heat sources. It lets the heat pump turn other equipment on / off depending on the systems needs.
Allows the heat pump to control a second heating circuit (zone) with a different temperature requirement. For up to 80 m² of underfloor heating
