Field Service Engineer - North London

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: North London

The Role

The role, working closely with our Service and Technical Managers, will primarily involve travelling to and from existing installations to carry-out warranty repairs and servicing to NIBE’s range of Ground Source, Air Source and Exhaust Air heat pumps. All appointments are pre-arranged by our internal customer services team.

What will you do?

  • Create and maintain confidence in all NIBE Energy Systems products and services
  • Carry out in warranty and out of warranty repair work
  • Carry out chargeable servicing and repair work
  • Diagnose system problems and advise accordingly
  • Provide feedback from the field to the wider technical team in relation to any emerging issues or trends
  • Complete electronic reports and all necessary paperwork in line with your duties with sufficient detail and within required
  • timeframes
  • Use the business systems in place to support activities of job role and enable accurate reporting
  • Adhere to any health and safety policies when in the work environment
  • Diagnose and repair the NIBE products in an efficient manner
  • Maintain your vehicle and stock in line with company requirements
  • Contribute as part of a wider technical and service team to achieve department objectives

What will you bring?

  • Professionalism and a good work ethic, especially when on site
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience
  • Ability and experience as a service/repair engineer in a related HVAC discipline
  • Excellent heating system and hot/cold water system knowledge essential
  • Refrigeration and biomass experience / knowledge, would be of benefit but not essential
  • Electrical experience/knowledge and understanding of the difference between three phase and single phase circuits
  • Ability to keep a van stock of parts in an efficient manner
  • Happy working under your own initiative
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations when on site
  • The desire to learn new skills
