Smart Room Comfort is an intelligent zone temperature algorithm that takes the guesswork out of heating. Using advanced machine learning, it continuously learns the unique characteristics of your home; how quickly it warms up, how long it holds heat, and how you use different rooms throughout the day. By combining this information with live data from weather forecasts, solar gain, and even wind speed, the system can accurately predict the ideal times to produce heat. The result is a home that feels naturally comfortable, without the need for constant manual adjustments.
How does Smart Room Comfort work?
Smart Room Comfort takes, on average, 2-3 days to learn the characteristics of your home. The algorithm combines data from external sources, such as weather forecasts and wind speed, with data from internal and external temperature sensors. Smart Room Comfort monitors the following:
The result is more than just consistent comfort; it’s also about efficiency and peace of mind. By only producing heat when it’s needed, Smart Room Comfort reduces wasted energy and lowers running costs. With a system that works quietly in the background, anticipating needs and reacting intelligently, occupants enjoy the reassurance of a warm, efficient, and truly smart home.
Pre-requisities
In order to utilise Smart Room Comfort, any of CDS 10, THS 10, SRV 10, ROT 10 or RMU S40 Smart Accessories must be set up in the rooms that you want Smart Room Comfort to monitor.
Once the initial setup is complete, Smart Room Comfort will be automatically enabled and will stay on unless the room temperature sensor is disconnected.
Frequently Asked Questions
What takes priority; SRC or schedules I have previously set up?
If you have a schedule already set up for a zone, SRC will prioritise this over its own algorithm.
What happens if I have a room without a room sensor?
Rooms/zones that do not have any controlling sensors cannot be controlled by Smart Room Comfort. In this instance, the system will aim for the setpoint temperature in the controller.
Does SRC do cooling as well?
If your system is set up to allow cooling, Smart Room Comfort will activate the cooling capability to bring the room temperature back down to the desired level.
Does SRC work without internet?
Yes, SRC can function without an internet connection. A fallback functionality exists where the algorithm will use weather data from the day before.
How long does SRC take to work?
SRC, on average, takes 1-3 days to learn the characteristics of your house. After this point, it will start tweaking your settings.
Can I disable SRC?
Once SRC is enabled, it cannot be manually turned off. The only way to disable SRC is to disconnect the sensor in the room you do not want to be affected.
Can I access SRC settings from myUplink?
Yes, SRC is accessible through myUplink in two locations. Menu 1.3.3 shows room sensor settings and menu 1.3.4 shows zones settings.
