Dean Dickens – Customer Care Team Leader
“Customer care is about people, processes and progress – and I get to work on all three at NIBE.”
Dean joined NIBE in March 2024, bringing with him a strong background in customer services across both face-to-face and call centre environments. He began his career at Tesco, working his way up to Deputy Manager before moving to Dyson Customer Services. At Dyson, Dean progressed from call handler to Complaints Manager and later Operations Support Team Leader, where he managed a team of 10 support staff.
At NIBE, Dean manages the Homeowner Care and Installer Care teams, with a focus on improving processes and ensuring the best possible experience for customers and installers.

I enjoy the challenge. Heat pumps were completely new to me when I started, as they were to most of the UK, and I’ve loved learning something new every day.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Be more money smart.
How long have you been working with heat pumps?
Since March 2024.
Does pineapple belong on pizza?
Absolutely not!
Tell us something about yourself outside of work.
I spend most of my spare time looking after my new family - I’ve skipped years 0–10 and now have an 11- and 12-year-old! I’m a dog person, a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, love a good steak, and my go-to drink is Kraken Black Cherry & Madagascan Vanilla with Coke.
