Matthew Sheen - National Partnerships Manager
“The net-zero challenge is too big for a ‘sell a box and walk away’ mindset – the best part of my job is collaborating on practical, long-term solutions that make a real difference.”
Matthew has over 20 years’ experience in the energy and environment sector, with a strong foundation in fuel poverty reduction and community-level decarbonisation. He studied Chemistry at DeMontfort University and holds an MSc in Environmental Studies from Southampton University. Earlier in his career, he ran an energy-efficiency charity supporting councils and housing providers before moving into senior roles across both start-ups and large manufacturers of smart heating products. Since joining NIBE in 2025, Matthew’s focus has been developing long-term partnerships with social landlords, local authorities, and Tier-1 contractors to help deliver heat-pump and heat-network projects at scale.
