The Role

We're looking for a talented PR Executive to support NIBE Energy Systems UK on an initial 12-month freelance contract as we head into 2027. Reporting to the UK Head of Marketing, we’re looking for someone with around 2–3 years’ PR experience who can work closely with the UK Marketing team and International PR Manager on the day-to-day UK PR. The role will span both consumer and trade PR, with a growing emphasis on consumer PR for NIBE Home. You’ll get involved in media relations, journalist outreach, news generation, press releases, features and thought leadership, reactive opportunities, product and campaign activity, events and case studies.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has around 2–3 years’ experience in a PR, communications or press office role
• Is a confident writer
• Understands what makes a good story
• Is proactive, organised and happy managing several things at once
• Is interested in developing their consumer PR experience
• Ideally has experience in energy, homes, property, sustainability or another relevant consumer-facing sector

You absolutely do not need to be a heat pump expert - we can teach you that! Curiosity, good PR instincts and a willingness to learn are much more important.

Freelance. Remote/flexible with occasional UK travel.

This is a self-employed freelance contractor role, initially offered on a 12-month contract. There may be the opportunity for the role to develop into a permanent employed position in the future, subject to business needs.
