Technical Training and Support Engineer - Southern Central England

NIBE's heat pumps range includes, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Air Source Heat Pumps, Exhaust Air Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal Panels. We offer high-tech heat pump solutions for heating, ventilation, cooling and heat recovery that reflect today's demand for sustainable construction.

We are looking for a Technical Training and Project Support Engineer based in the southern central part of England to provide office and field based technical training and project support on our range of heat pumps, ventilation and solar systems for our growing installer network.

Main duties to include:

  • On site project technical support including site surveys, system commissioning and customer handover
  • On site assessment of installations ensuring adherence to manufacturers instructions and industry standards
  • Technical training at the companies training facilities located at head office and remote locations
  • Telephone and email support in connection with active projects
  • Liaise with internal technical and design department to support installers produce quotations

Other duties to include:

  • Supporting the external sales team with product demonstrations
  • Fault finding and repair on warranty calls in busy periods

Essential Skills & Experience

This role requires excellent IT, organisational and communication skills, a strong customer focus and an individual who is comfortable talking in front of people in a variety of settings.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Advanced City & Guilds in plumbing and heating or equivalent with a minimum of two years experience in a related industry.

Desired Skills & Experience

Practical heat pump and refrigeration experience, teaching skills, knowledge of MCS heat pump standards
