In many situations, only small quantities of hot water are required, mainly for washing-up and personal hygiene. Such applications are likely to be found, for example, in smaller holiday homes or for supply to a tap in factories or public buildings. In such cases, the NIBE NIBETTE 15 is the perfect solution because of its small size and easy installation.
The water heater consists of a steel tank, internally copper lined to protect against corrosion. The outer casing is of powder coated steel. The water tank is insulated with EPS (Environmentally friendly cellular plastic), which provides a good heat insulation.
Both plumbing and electrical connections are simple. With a power rating of 3 kW, the 15 litres stored volume heats up to 45 °C in only 15 minutes.
With a thermostat setting of 80°C, the NIBE NIBETTE 15 can provide about 30 litres of hot water at 40°C.
Building regulation requirements in many countries require the fitting of the following valves on the cold water side: safety valve, check valve and isolating valve. The heater is fitted with a drain plug.
The water heater’s connecting cable is equipped with a plug for an earthed single-phase socket. The socket must be positioned for easy access. Ensure that sufficient space is left in front of the unit to allow the immersion heater to be replaced if necessary.
Single-phase installation (1 kW) offers the least surface load on the immersion heater and thus a longer life. A two-phase installation (3 kW) will give faster heating up time.
Adjustable thermostatic control to 80°C.
