The water heater consists of a steel vessel with a copper lining, which provides excellent resistance to corrosion. The outer casing is made of impact resistant plastic plate.
Thermal insulation is provided by CPC-free polyurethane insulation, ensuring excellent thermal performance.
Local building requirements might require an arrangement of valves in order to make a complete installation of the unit e.g. safety valve, check valve, cut-off valve, and vacuum valve. These are not included in the delivery.
The heater is fitted with a terminal block for connection of the main supply cable. The heater is intended for connection across two phases of a three-phase supply, but can be connected if required to a 230 V single-phase supply, although this will reduce the maximum power rating to 1.0 kW. NIBE ES 500 only comes in 6 kW output power.
The flanged, stainless steel (Alloy 254 SMO) immersion heater in a Ø 80 mm connection opening allows for simple dismantling, internal inspection and cleaning of the vessel. Adjustable thermostatic control to 80°C.
